Every state will now be able to create its own merit list for their state’s medical and dental institutions. Maharashtra State saw a total of 2,56,126 applicants for NEET 2022. Of those, 1,13,812 candidates were able to pass the exam. Rishi Vinay Balise was the topper from Maharashtra state with 710 marks and All India Rank 6. Maharashtra NEET State Quota Merit List 2022
The Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Maharashtra (DMER), will soon publish the NEET state merit list on its official portal. For MBBS and BDS colleges, two separate merit list are being prepared. Both courses will have different cut-off marks and different merit list. DMER, Maharashtra is responsible for the preparation of merit list and conducting counselling for 85% of the state quota seats in govt colleges as well as 100% of private college seats. All Indian students are eligible to fill the remaining 15% of these seats through counselling organized by the Medical Council Committee.
How to Download Maharashtra NEET State Quota Merit List 2022?
The Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Maharashtra will first prepare a provisional merit list. The official portal of Maharashtra Common Entrance Testing Cell (MHTCET) will provide candidates with the said merit list. As already clarified different cut off list or merit list will be prepared for admission in MBBS and BDS colleges. After that, the final merit list will be made public. Counselling will most probably take place in September, 2022. There are generally three rounds of counselling. The cut-off marks determine the final rank till which students will be admitted. Follow the steps below to download the merit list.
- First of all, visit the official website of Maharashtra State Common Entrance Examination Test Cell (MHTCET) @ www.cetcell.mahacet.org.
- You can find the medical education tab on the homepage.
- Scroll down to the section for Undergraduates and click on NEET-UG.
- The page “NEETUG MCH CET2022” will now be opened on your computer screen.
- Thereafter, you will find the option to “Download BEETUG 2022” in the notification section. Click on this option.
- You can now download the merit list in pdf format.
- Navigate to your name and roll number and then check your state NEET 2022 rank.
- Print the list and keep it for future reference.

Maharashtra NEET 2022 State Counselling Process
The counselling process will start soon after the release of the state merit list. Online registration for 9820 MBBS seats and 3526 BDS slots will begin soon. After online registration candidates can register and then fill out the courses and colleges they are interested in getting admission. The seat allotment process will begin after closing of registration process. Candidates will be assigned colleges based on marks obtained in the NEET exam. In general, there are two to three counseling rounds and four mock rounds. Students who are not satisfied with their college can apply for another counselling round. Students must report to allotted colleges after the seat allocation process is complete. They will also need to undergo a document verification step before getting final admission. If any candidate fails to produce the documents required or has any forged documents, they will not get admission. After document verification and completion of other formalities like fee submission etc, admission process will be considered completed and classes will begin.
